Terms & Conditions

[Last updated 2 September 2026]

1. About these terms

These terms and conditions apply to programmes, masterclasses and other executive education services provided by Paul Hayman, trading as Northrey Executive Education (“Northrey”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

By registering for or purchasing a Northrey programme, you agree to these terms.

Where a booking is made on behalf of another person, the person making the booking is responsible for ensuring that the participant is aware of these terms.

2. Programme information

We take reasonable care to ensure that programme descriptions, dates, formats, fees and other information published on our website are accurate.

Programme content is designed to respond to contemporary issues and may therefore be updated or adjusted before or during delivery where this improves the programme or reflects relevant developments.

Any material change affecting the essential nature, date or delivery of a programme will be communicated to registered participants as soon as reasonably practicable.

3. Registration and payment

A place on a programme is confirmed when registration has been successfully completed and the applicable fee has been paid, unless we have agreed alternative arrangements in writing.

Programme fees are shown on the relevant programme page. Where VAT is applicable, this will be made clear before payment.

Payments made online are processed securely by Stripe. Northrey does not receive or store your full payment-card details.

You are responsible for ensuring that the information supplied during registration is accurate.

4. Individual and organisational bookings

A programme place may be purchased directly by an individual or on behalf of a participant by an employer or other organisation.

Where an organisation purchases places for its employees or representatives, the organisation is responsible for payment and for ensuring that participants are aware of any terms relevant to their participation.

Separate terms may apply where Northrey agrees to provide bespoke executive education or other services directly to an organisation. Where separate written terms have been agreed, those terms will take precedence to the extent of any inconsistency.

5. Cancellation by you

If you wish to cancel a programme booking, please contact enquiries@northreyexecutive.com as soon as possible.

Where you are purchasing as a consumer, you may have statutory cancellation rights, including rights arising from a contract concluded online. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.

Subject to any applicable statutory rights, our standard cancellation arrangements are:

More than 14 days before the programme: you may cancel your place and receive a full refund.

Between 7 and 14 days before the programme: you may transfer your place to another suitable participant at no additional charge, or request a transfer to another Northrey programme of equivalent value where one is available. If neither option is suitable, please contact us and we will consider a refund taking account of the circumstances and any costs reasonably incurred.

Fewer than 7 days before the programme: refunds are not normally available, but you may transfer your place to another suitable participant before the programme begins. We will consider exceptional circumstances reasonably and fairly.

Any cancellation charge or amount retained will not exceed the loss that Northrey can reasonably attribute to the cancellation.

6. Consumer cancellation rights

If you register for a programme online as a consumer, you may have a statutory right to cancel your contract within 14 days of entering into it.

If a programme is due to take place within that 14-day period and you ask us to begin providing the service during the cancellation period, your cancellation rights may be affected in accordance with applicable law.

If the programme has been fully delivered during the cancellation period following your express request and acknowledgement, you may lose your statutory right to cancel.

Nothing in these terms limits any cancellation or refund rights that you have under applicable consumer law.

7. Cancellation or rescheduling by Northrey

We may occasionally need to cancel, postpone or reschedule a programme because of circumstances such as illness, technical problems, insufficient registrations or other events that make delivery impracticable.

Where Northrey cancels a programme and does not provide a suitable alternative, participants will receive a full refund of the programme fee paid.

Where a programme is rescheduled, you will be offered the opportunity to attend on the revised date. If you are unable to attend the revised date, you may request a full refund.

Northrey is not responsible for travel, accommodation or other costs incurred in connection with participation unless required by law.

8. Online programme delivery

Online programmes are normally delivered using Microsoft Teams or another online platform specified by Northrey.

Participants are responsible for having a suitable internet connection, compatible device and any software reasonably necessary to participate.

Joining instructions will normally be provided before the programme. You are responsible for using the joining information provided and for joining the session at the appropriate time.

We will take reasonable steps to address technical problems within our control. We are not responsible for disruption caused by a participant’s equipment, internet connection, network restrictions or other systems outside our reasonable control.

9. Programme materials and intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, all slides, frameworks, exercises, written materials, recordings and other programme content provided by Northrey remain the intellectual property of Northrey or the relevant rights holder.

Programme materials are provided for the participant’s personal professional use.

They may not, without prior written permission, be reproduced, published, distributed, sold, licensed, uploaded to publicly accessible platforms, used to provide training to others or incorporated substantially into commercial products or services.

Participants may make reasonable use of ideas and learning from the programme in the course of their own professional work.

10. Recording

Participants must not make audio, video or screen recordings of a Northrey programme without our prior written permission.

Northrey will not record a live programme without informing participants.

If a programme is to be recorded, participants will be given appropriate information about the recording and how it will be used.

11. Participation and conduct

Northrey programmes are intended to support constructive professional discussion and exchange.

Participants are expected to behave professionally and respectfully towards the facilitator and other participants.

We reserve the right to remove a participant from a programme where their behaviour is seriously disruptive, abusive, discriminatory, threatening or otherwise materially interferes with the experience of other participants.

Any decision to remove a participant will be made reasonably and proportionately.

12. Confidentiality and participant contributions

Participants should exercise appropriate judgement when discussing information relating to their employer, clients or other organisations during a programme.

Northrey cannot guarantee that information voluntarily disclosed by one participant will be kept confidential by other participants.

Participants should therefore avoid sharing confidential, commercially sensitive, privileged or personal information that they are not authorised to disclose.

13. Educational nature of our programmes

Northrey programmes provide executive education and general analysis. They do not constitute legal, financial, investment, tax, regulatory or other professional advice.

Examples, scenarios and discussions are provided for educational purposes and should not be treated as recommendations concerning any particular organisation, transaction or decision.

Participants remain responsible for obtaining appropriate professional advice and exercising their own judgement in relation to specific decisions.

14. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer law.

Northrey will provide its services with reasonable care and skill.

To the extent permitted by law, Northrey will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from participation in a programme or from decisions made by a participant or organisation following the programme.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

15. Data protection

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Notice, available on the Northrey website.

Where programmes are delivered using third-party platforms, participants may also be subject to the privacy practices and terms of the relevant provider.

16. Events outside our reasonable control

We will not be responsible for a failure or delay in providing a programme caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Where such circumstances materially affect a scheduled programme, we will take reasonable steps to reschedule the programme, provide an appropriate alternative or issue a refund where appropriate.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time.

The terms applying to a programme booking will normally be those in force when the booking is made. Any subsequent change that materially affects an existing booking will be communicated where appropriate and will not reduce rights already acquired under the contract.

18. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer, you will also benefit from any mandatory protections available to you under the laws applicable where you live.

Nothing in this section limits any rights concerning where legal proceedings may be brought that cannot lawfully be excluded.
